The crowd is the winner on the final day of the World Champs

 
Spurred by an atmosphere of thousands of supporters, the final day of rowing at the 2010 World Rowing Championships brought to a close one of the most successful championships ever. For all countries athletes commented about how the audience made their race with those sitting in the starting blocks, 2000m down the lake, able to hear the cheering from the finishing race before them. Today the weather was a treat with almost glass flat water and a slight head wind with warm sunny temperatures.
